Today was a very significant day that many guests came to Gaya to offer Pind Daan to their ancestors on the occasion of fortnight-long Pitrapaksha Mela 2024. Maintaining sequence, the Deputy Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh Shri Rajendra Shukla, with his family , came to Vishnupad early in the morning and performed Pinddaan rituals in the of guidance of Gayawal Panda Shri Suman Goswami. Apart from political faces, officials from administrative departments also came here today to perform Pinddaan in Gaya.
Senior IAS officer Shri P K MAHAPATRA also came here from Haryana. Basically, he belongs to Odisa. He also performed Pinddaan with his better half at 9 o’clock in the morning at Vishnupad Temple

One more Senior IAS officer, Shri K P. S Prasad from Hyderabad reached Gaya to pay his homage to his ancestors by offering Pinddaan near the Falgu River
